2006

Launch

  • Reto and Jonas found Voicepoint AG with a focus on the medical and legal sectors
  • Initial manufacturer partnerships with a focus on hardware and software distribution are estab­lished

2007

Development of sales structure

  • A network of retailers is estab­lished throughout Switzer­land
  • The subsidiary Voicepoint Romandie Sàrl is founded as a base in Western Switzerland
  • The dictation management soft­ware Winscribe is launched in Switzerland

2008

Growing to become market leader

  • Dragon speech recognition is launched
  • System engineering expertise is developed internally
  • Voicepoint becomes the Swiss market leader in the niche market of speech-based medical docu­men­tation

2009

Consolidation and development

  • Voicepoint acquires the software agency Database Experts GmbH and sets up its own software development team
  • Voicepoint starts to collaborate with the first large hospitals

Automation trend

  • Development of our own productivity tools for the efficient automation of documentation processes
  • Development of integrations into leading HIS and PIS systems
  • Expansion of internal capabilities and team size, taking it past the ten employee mark

2013

Technology boost

  • Introduction of server-based Dragon speech recognition with deep learning technology
  • Rapid growth in the enterprise environment with various new customers in the area of university and cantonal hospitals

Organic and inorganic growth

  • Acquisition of the business of the two competitors iSpeech and Business Innovation Group
  • Strong growth in the established segment and increasing focus on healthcare

Launch into the cloud

  • Establishment of the Voicepoint Cloud as a SaaS offering for speech recognition and dictation management

  • Establishment of global sales via partner network

  • 10,000 active Voicepoint Cloud users
  • ISO 27001 certification for data security
  • The team now contains more than 80 employees

Development of AI platform

Voicepoint Xenon® launch

  • 20,000 active Voicepoint Cloud users
  • Launch of the first Voicepoint Xenon® version

  • Refined positioning with new corporate design, new website and full focus on healthcare
