Voicepoint celebrates its 10th anniversary
In 2006, our company founders, Reto Heusser and Jonas Blum, started up their own business from a modest office in Seegräben in the Zurich Oberland region. It was established with the idea of creating reports of all kinds more quickly and conveniently to assist employees in document-intensive industries such as healthcare and law. In the meantime, Voicepoint has built up a considerable name for itself and is now Switzerland’s leading supplier of digital dictation systems, speech recognition software and dictation management solutions.
From the very outset, the two young businessmen realised that there was no future for standard, old-fashioned, analogue dictation devices. They involved high costs, were insecure in terms of data handling and time-consuming when creating documents. It soon became clear that digitisation was inevitable in this particular market. As a result, they initially established themselves as product suppliers and distributors of digital dictation devices in sectors such as healthcare and law.
The demand for comprehensive workflow solutions and speech recognition rose significantly after the company was founded, with projects growing in size. Thus, just a few months after it was established, Voicepoint signed a collaboration agreement with Winscribe and Nuance, the world’s largest manufacturers of dictation management and speech recognition software. An internal development department was soon set up, allowing the company to develop project-specific software modifications as well as individual adaptations and integrations. Voicepoint can now provide and implement customised dictation management and speech recognition solutions to meet the highest demands of its customers.
Right from the start, the company’s credo has always been its professional customer service. Thanks to a resolute focus on professional and independent advice, expert support and service plus reliable products, Voicepoint has evolved into a team of 21 employees and 3 trainees, with two sites in Wetzikon near Zurich and Geneva.

Customer portfolio includes around 100 hospitals and clinics plus 400 medical practices and law firms with over 12,000 users in total. Voicepoint also supports around 30 sales partners all over Switzerland.
Voicepoint assumes the dictation business of the Business Innovation Group AG and the Serintech AG on July 1, 2016th.
