Dragon Medical Practice Edition 3
Nuance has launched a new version of its speech recognition software for the medical sector – Dragon Medical Practice Edition 3, or DMPE 3 for short. The current version is available in German and English.
On first glance, users will spot changes to the design. As with Dragon NaturallySpeaking 13, the Dragon bar has been completely revamped. This is shown in an attractive, modern design at the top of the screen.
When not in use, the Dragon bar shrinks to the size of the red/green microphone button.
Those who miss the famous Dragon sidebar can access the corresponding Learning Centre under the menu item “Help”.
A further modification can be noted after installation is complete. Whereas a 15-minute profile training session had to be carried out previously, in Dragon Medical Practice Edition 3 only the 3-minute microphone configuration remains, then profiles are ready for speech recognition. Anyone not satisfied with the recognition accuracy may still carry out a detailed profile training session.
Available audio sources are listed with the name of the input device. Anyone working with different microphones can now select this without any possibility of confusion.
The new version now supports Windows 10 as well as Windows 8. Microsoft Office 2013 and Internet Explorer 11 are also officially supported.
Users already working with Dragon Medical Practice Edition 3 are impressed with the current version of the speech recognition software.
Customers with an upgrade contract will receive the new version free of charge. Customers without a maintenance contract may purchase the upgrade from us. Users of Dragon Medical Versions 11 and 12 are entitled to upgrade, so too are users of Dragon Medical Practice Edition 2.
